Missouri Travel: Uranus is open for business… on Historic Route 66

If you love puns, you’re going to love this place…

Uranus is a fun little strip mall in Saint Robert, Missouri that sits on Historic Route 66. (The original, not the newer highway.)

You can eat in Uranus.

Saint Robert is the military town outside of Fort Leonard Wood.

Uranus is home to local businesses like The Uranus Fudge Factory and The Uranus Axehole.

I didn’t get many photos today because it is wicked cold out, but I couldn’t resist sharing the few I did get:

Uranus is open for business.

There’s a rocket in Uranus. I don’t know why there is a rocket in Uranus. If I had to guess it’s there for the simple purpose of making puns- I will ask next time.

Men can have fun in Uranus. Big Louie’s is a Gentleman’s Club. Do not take children in there. I shouldn’t have to say that, but around here I really, really do.

Uranus is full of giant dinosaurs. A much more family friendly attraction than Big Louie’s.

Side note: I am dying over the leftover original mid century designs in Uranus.

If Uranus is on fire, don’t fear. There’s a firetruck in Uranus:

You can eat and take family photos in Uranus! This is one of two stand-ins that I saw. The other is hilarious. Oh well, I’ll get it next time.

There is also a diner. When I try the food in Uranus, I will let you know how it tastes.
